Fidel has over 10 years’ experience in the transport industry, as consultant, researcher, modeller, and project manager. At Steer, he has been involved in more than 50 projects mainly related with infrastructure transactions.
He provides advice on demand and revenue forecasts to support projects under public private partnership (PPP) arrangements, working with governments, owners, sponsors, and lenders. Fidel’s recent experience includes developing forecasts and due diligence for the successful financial closure of toll road projects in Colombia (under the 4G programme), and motorways and border crossings in Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and Canada.
In his early career, Fidel focused on sustainable transport and road safety, developing projects related to BRT systems (TransMilenio), corporative sustainable transport, air quality, freight transport, and highway road safety.
